Most photos are looked at once, on the day they were taken. deja brings them back: a random moment from your past, played full screen, like a story.
A random day, not an anniversary
'On this day' features show the same date every year. With Random day, deja picks any period from your past that you haven't relived yet — the ordinary Tuesdays included, which are often the ones you'd forgotten.
You choose how much: a day or a week at a time. And if you do like anniversaries, choose On this day instead, when you start or later in Settings.
Like a story, with context
Photos, Live Photos and videos play full screen in the order you took them, with the date, the time, the place and how long ago it was. You can pause, skim, and swipe up to write a note about the moment.
A wall that fills up with your life
Each period you finish lights up on the calendar wall, and the photos you ♥ become its covers. Over months it becomes a map of your own life, made only from what you chose.
Each relive also ends on a card built from one moment of that day, ready to share.

Questions
Does deja upload my photos to show memories?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone, with the photos already in your library. There is no account.
How is this different from Memories in the Photos app?
Apple's Memories are movies the Photos app assembles for you. deja hands you a whole period to go through yourself, one photo at a time, and lets you clean up while you're there.
Does it use photos from Facebook or Instagram?
No, only the photos and videos in your iPhone's photo library.
