On this day, or any day of your life
deja can deal you today's date from an earlier year, like any 'On this day' feature. Or it can deal you a random past day you haven't relived yet, so the ordinary days come back too. You choose.
Two ways to pick the day
In Settings, the Relive Rule decides which past period deja deals you. On this day picks the same date in an earlier year, starting with the years you haven't relived yet; if no year has photos from that date, deja deals another day. Random day picks any period you haven't relived yet, and none repeats until you've relived them all.
Relive a week at a time instead, and the two become Random week and On this week.
Relive it, then keep what matters
The photos, Live Photos and videos of that period play full screen in the order you took them, with date, time and place. ♥ the ones you love and they become covers on your calendar wall; mark the ones you don't need and delete them at the end.

deja's widgets show today's pick on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and in Control Center, so the day is one tap away.

Can deja show me photos from this date in past years?
Yes. Set the Relive Rule in Settings to On this day, and deja deals you today's date from an earlier year. You can also open any day from the calendar wall.
Is deja like Timehop?
Both can bring back the same date from earlier years. deja works only with the photos on your iPhone, on the device, with no account, and lets you clean up while you look.
