iCloud storage full? Start with your photos
With iCloud Photos turned on, your photo library usually takes most of your iCloud storage. Deleting on your iPhone frees it — the hard part is deciding what to delete, and that is what deja makes easy.
How deleting frees iCloud
iCloud Photos keeps one library across your devices, so a photo you delete on your iPhone is deleted from iCloud and your other devices too. It waits in Recently Deleted for 30 days in case you change your mind, and Apple doesn't count that album against your iCloud storage.
One exception: if you are already over your iCloud storage limit, iOS removes deleted photos right away, and they don't go to Recently Deleted. Be sure before you delete.
Deciding, a day at a time
deja deals you one past day to relive. While the photos play, you mark the blurry, the duplicate and the accidental; at the end, deja shows how much space you are about to free and deletes them in one batch.
Videos are usually the biggest files, so days with long clips are where most of the space is.
Your photos stay yours
deja reads your library on the device through Apple's Photos framework. It has no account and uploads nothing; it just helps you choose.

Will deleting photos in deja free iCloud storage?
If you use iCloud Photos, yes: a photo deleted on your iPhone is deleted from iCloud too. It stays recoverable in Recently Deleted for 30 days, which Apple doesn't count against your iCloud storage.
Does deja need my iCloud account?
No. deja works on the photo library of your iPhone and has no account of its own.
